Doug Temple394 days agoShould have called Freeze sooner! We had 25 year old units in an old downtown Mooresville home. The downstairs unit wasn’t blowing as cool as usual, so I called Freeze to come out and diagnose. The compressor valves were shot, finally time for an upgrade (glad we did in the end!). Bob came out a day later, inspected our existing install and ductwork , measured the rooms, discussed options, and got us quotes for a couple of options the next day. I had priced replacement systems a few times over the years and this was the best price with the most comprehensive inspection and quote I’d received. I almost laughed at all of the previous quotes, they were gouging me. The price from Freeze and the quality of work was just great. I’m embarrassed I didn’t call them years ago, especially since they’re just down the street. Happy customer!Posted on Google
Neil Goodnight427 days agoA wise man once said. It's not a matter of if; but when your AC will break down and it can be on the hottest of days. Well yesterday mine broke and I had no AC and it's suppose to get up to 96 degrees today. So the wise man said know who your gonna call. So I called Freeze Refrigeration a trusted company that I have been doing business with for 32 years. I was offered prompt service the next morning from a experience technician who diagnosed the problem. Jennifer Der590 days agoFreeze works w the management co for my rented home. I had put in a work order shortly before noon today (a Fri in Jan) for no heat. Freeze contacted me very quickly. The tech came and diagnosed the problem, indicating he needed a part that needed approval and he’d do his best to come back to get it fixed. Another company had given me the run around, trying to convince me to completely replace a 5 year old unit and then recommended replacing a $1500 part. Needless to say neither of those options were necessary, and Robbie came out for what was a very simple fix for a fraction of the cost and had our heat working ahead of some winter weather! Michael LeBaron2732 days agoFreeze Refrigeration installed new HVAC units in my home to replace the 25 year old systems that were original to the home. Several things stood out that gave them a 5 star rating. First, the weather was cold and rainy, but in spite of wet and muddy conditions outside, the crews got the compressors into place and hooked up and did it while keeping the route into the house clean. The whole installation was done in a professional manner with a minimum of disruption and they kept their work areas cleaned up throughout the installation. The second thing that stood out was the quote I received for the work. It provided a detailed listing of the equipment for each location, brand and efficiency rating options, and a detailed listing of the ancillary work needed for the installation. I received quotes from two other contractors which were much less detailed and required follow up with the contractors to get enough information that I could make an informed decision on which contractor and system to select. The three quotes I received were in the same ballpark for cost, so having a professional, detailed quote made all the difference in my selection. If customer service, professionalism, expediency and good work ethic were people, Heather and Robbie would personify it, hands down. My neighbor (who is in the AC business) recommended Freeze after I expressed frustration with One Hour Heating & Air, who we had been with for 8 years. I was very satisfied with Freeze’s troubleshooting and eventual replacement of one of our AC units.
I called Freeze and several other HVAC company’s when I needed my systems replaced. They came out and checked my systems and gave my great recommendations and prices on several options. Unfortunately my house was 20 years old and had two systems that could not keep up. Typical home builder quality systems that were never really sized or ducked correctly from the start. They came in and rebuilt the entire ducking system adding vents and returns as well as upgrading to the right tonnage for the second floor. Before they started my house would not maintain 77 degrees upstairs now my house is comfortable and has no hot or cold spots! These guys are GREAT!

My most recent interaction was the complete install of a Gas Furnace in the attic and an HVAC unit. What a Gem to work with. I did my homework on quotation and with little overhead the least you could do is have them come out. I cannot say more than the Quality of the Installation is more important that the Product!

Freeze installed a brand new furnace/ac unit in my home. Freeze showed up on time and cleaned up everything, in fact I had a hard time telling they had even been there.
Our furnace died on the coldest morning this winter. I am sure we were not the only one with an emergency that day. They promised to be there during the day, which they were in the early afternoon. They had to order parts from the supplier and finished the repair the following morning at 8:30 am! As to price, they did not try and sell us a new several thousand dollar unit as a previous company had attempted. And if in the future they suggest a replacement, we will feel comfortable with their advice. We are warm and oh so pleased with the service.
I think that when I call them they are very responsive, they make and appointment for that week, and they always show up, they’re very good, they put the footies on to come through your house, and when they leave they let you know weather anything was wrong, and I feel that they are just very good about customer service and informing if there is any problems. Or if there is no problems. I just feel like I can trust them.
